How to detach and install a fuel filter on Toyota Celica?

Before detaching any part of the fuel system, relieve the fuel line and tank pressure by removing the fuel tank cap and disconnecting the battery. Cover the fitting with a rag to absorb any fuel spray. If your stereo has an anti-theft system, check the information on page 0-15 before detaching the cable. Remove the air cleaner assembly and evaporative canister. Steady the filter with a backup wrench, remove the banjo bolt at the top and loosen the fitting at the bottom. Remove both bracket bolts from the firewall and remove the old filter and bracket assembly. Ensure the new filter is installed correctly, with the outlet pipe facing up and the inlet pipe facing down. Install the inlet and outlet banjo fittings with new crush washers and tighten securely. The rest of the installation is the reverse of removal.
