How to remove and replace the air filter in a Toyota Prius?

The air filter is centrally located in the engine compartment. To remove, unclip the air cleaner housing, lift the cover, and take out the filter. For 2009 and earlier models, lift out the filter assembly. For 2010 and later, disconnect the MAF sensor wiring and outlet hose to remove the cover. Check the filter; if dirty, replace it. If slightly dusty, clean it with compressed air. It can't be washed or oiled.
