    Q:
How to replace wheel studs on both the front and rear wheels on Toyota Corolla? Posted by Customer
    A:
This procedure applies to the front as well as the rear wheel studs. Start by removing the wheel lug nuts, then jack up the car and place it on jack stands then remove the wheel. Following this, one should unscrew the brake disc or drum. Ensure that a lug nut is screwed half way into the stud, which is being replaced, then use a press tool to force the stud out of the hub flange. The new stud should be inserted into the hub flange from the backside, while some flat washers and a lugh nut should be put on the stud and when tighten the nut it pulls the stud into its rightful place. This is followed by further spinning of the lug nut while bringing the stud farther in the flange. Last but not the least, fit the brake drum or disc back in place and put the wheel back and the lug nuts untill the car is on the ground and then torque the Lund nuts to the manufacturer's recommended value.

How to replace wheel studs on Toyota Prius? Posted by Customer
    A:
The above stated procedure is followed for the front and rear wheel studs. Start by removing the wheel lug nuts before lifting the car and placing it on sturdy jack stands, then remove the wheel. Next, take off either the brake disc or the brake drum. Thread one of the lug nuts part way onto the stud that is to be removed, then use a hydraulic press to push the stud out of the hub flange. Thread the new stud through the hub flange from the rear, put a few flat washers and a nut on it. Turn the lug nut another half turn to push the stud completely into the flange following a proper fitment. Last but not the least, fit the brake drum or disc, fit the wheel and the bolts, drop the vehicle and finally tighten the bolts.

How to replace wheel studs on Toyota Matrix? Posted by Customer
    A:
This procedure has to be done for front as well as rear wheel studs. Initially, take off the wheel by partially unbolting the wheel lug nuts, lifting the vehicle until the wheels can be raised onto jack stands safely. Subsequently, remove the brake disc or the brake drum. Place one lug nut half threaded onto the stud that has to be removed and then use an automobile press tool to force the said stud out of the hub flange. A new stud must be inserted into the hub flange from behind and when this is done, some flat washers and a lug nut is fitted on the stud and the nut is tightened to bring in the stud into position. After this, the stud is seated on its designated position on the flange, the brake drum or disc should be replaced, the wheel placed on the hub and the lug nuts tightened, before lowering the car.
