    The first step to removing the fuel pump is to relieve the fuel system pressure and disconnect the negative battery cable. Next, remove the fuel pump/Fuel Level Sensor and the fuel filter retaining screw from the fuel tank. Next, separate the fuel filter from the fuel pump/ fuel level sending unit and remove the fuel pressure regulator mounting screw. For installation, follow these steps in the reserve order making sure new O-rings are installed on the fuel pressure regulator and fuel filter.

Make sure to install a new O-ring on the fuel pressure regulator.
