The remainder of installation is the reverse of removal. After replacing the steering lock actuator assembly, perform the key ID code registration by opening and closing the driver's door. The engine may not start until the driver's door has been opened and closed. Remove the steering column and place the column in a soft jaw vise. Using a grinder or small hacksaw blade, cut a slot into the steering lock shear bolt heads. Use a screwdriver to back the bolts out and remove the actuator. Install the steering lock actuator and steering column clamp with new steering lock shear-head bolts, then tighten the bolts until their heads break off.

These models are equipped with an integration relay that works in conjunction with the ignition switch to activate the key unlock warning system and anti-theft system. The remainder of installation follows the reverse of removal.
