Standard safety features for all models consist of the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS), or Air Bag, that safeguards the driver and front seat passenger during head-on or frontal crash. The components of the system are front airbag sensors, side airbag sensors, and a sensing/diagnostic module near the floor console. Airbag modules are usually made up of a housing that has the bag and the inflator units; these components inflate the bag almost simultaneously when an electrical impulse is relayed to them.
