Loosen the wheel lug nuts, raise the vehicle, and support it securely on jackstands while blocking the front wheels to prevent rolling, then remove the wheel. Remove the ABS wheel speed sensor harness mounting fasteners and support the lower arm B with a floor jack placed under the arm, between the coil spring seat and the outer end. Do not remove the jack while it supports the lower arm B. Remove the fasteners at each end of the upper arm and take the arm out, checking for bending, cracks, and bushing wear. Installation is the reverse of removal; raise the lower arm with the floor jack to simulate normal ride height before tightening the fasteners. Support lower arm B similarly and, if necessary, remove the shock absorber for tool clearance when removing lower arm A. Mark the position of the adjuster cam on the inner pivot bolt to the subframe, then remove the inner end mounting fastener from lower arm A and the outer end mounting nut-to-knuckle, using a ball joint removal tool to detach the ball stud from the knuckle. For lower arm B, support it with a floor jack, remove the wheel speed sensor harness mounting fasteners, disconnect the rear stabilizer bar link, loosen the lower arm inner mounting fastener, and remove the outer mounting fastener to disconnect the knuckle. Slowly lower the floor jack to extend the coil spring, then remove it and the lower arm inner mounting fastener. Installation is the reverse, ensuring the coil spring is positioned correctly and all fasteners are tightened to the proper torque specifications. For the trailing arm, support lower arm B, disconnect the parking brake cable bracket, remove the rear shock absorber, and then remove the trailing arm-to-knuckle fasteners before loosening the pivot bolt/nut. Detach the arm from the chassis and inspect the pivot bushing for deterioration, replacing it if necessary. Installation follows the reverse order, ensuring to raise the suspension before fully tightening the fasteners and checking the rear wheel alignment. For the rear knuckle, on AWD models, remove the driveaxle hub nut, then remove the rear brake disc caliper and brake disc, followed by the hub and bearing assembly. Disconnect the parking brake cable and rear wheel speed sensor, support lower arm B, detach it from the knuckle, and lower the floor jack to remove the coil spring. Detach the upper arm, lower arm A, and trailing arm from the knuckle, carefully pushing the driveaxle while removing the knuckle, using a puller if necessary. Installation is the reverse, ensuring the spring is placed correctly, raising the suspension to simulate normal ride height before tightening pivot bolts, and checking the rear wheel alignment afterward.
