Bleed the brake hydraulic system and have the rear wheel alignment checked by a Toyota dealer service department or an alignment shop.

1. Loosen (but do not remove) the balljoint retaining nut, then separate the lower control arm from the spindle using a special balljoint separator tool. 2. Support the spindle to prevent the upper control arm from sagging excessively. 3. Mark the position of the camber adjustment cams to the chassis, ensuring to mark all four cams. 4. Remove the nut that attaches the stabilizer link to the control arm. 5. Remove the shock absorber lower mounting bolt and nut. 6. Remove the pivot bolt and nut, then detach the control arm. If the pivot bushing appears worn or deteriorated, take the control arm to a dealer service department or repair shop for bushing replacement.

Support the knuckle and hub assembly with wire so it can't swing out when it's disconnected from the upper suspension arm. Support the lower arm with a floor jack, which must remain in this position throughout the entire procedure.

Raise the front of the vehicle and support it on jackstands. Then, remove the lug nuts and the front wheel.
