To remove the sway bar, first loosen the front wheel lug nuts, raise the front of the vehicle, and securely support it on jackstands while applying the parking brake and blocking the rear wheels. Next, remove the front wheels and detach the sway bar link from the bar, using a hex bit to hold the ballstud if it spins while loosening the nut. Unbolt and lower the subframe, then remove the sway bar from the subframe. Check the sway bar bushings for any cracks, wear, or deterioration and replace them if necessary. Inspect the sway bar links by flipping each balljoint stud side-to-side several times, then install the nut and use an inch-pound torque wrench to ensure the torque reading is no less than 0.4 in-lbs; if it is, replace the link. Clean the bushing area of the sway bar with a stiff wire brush to remove rust or dirt. For installation, lubricate the inside and outside of the new bushing with vegetable oil, ensuring the slits face the rear of the vehicle and the bushings are positioned outside the bushing stop. Finally, install the components in reverse order of removal and tighten the fasteners.

Unbolt the stabilizer bar bushing clamps from the subframe, specifically the rear stabilizer bar bushing clamp nuts (the upper nuts are not visible).
