Toyota 13568-74012 Belt, Timing

1. Remove the radiator reservoir tank and valve covers. 2. Remove the upper timing belt cover. 3. Position the number one piston at TDC on the compression stroke and align the match marks on the camshaft pulleys with the marks on the rear timing belt cover. 4. If reusing the timing belt, paint match marks on the pulleys and belt. 5. Loosen the upper idler pulley set bolt and slip the timing belt off the pulleys. 6. If the camshaft pulleys are worn, remove the valve cover and detach the pulley. 7. Keep the crankshaft pulley from turning and remove the bolt to detach the pulley. 8. Remove the lower timing belt cover and slip the belt guide off the crankshaft. 9. If reusing the timing belt, paint match marks on the pulley and belt. 10. Slip the timing belt off the pulley and remove it.
