1. Detach the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. 2. Disconnect the electrical connectors at the ISC/IAC valve, TPS, and EGR/EVAP canister control solenoid. 3. Detach the accelerator cable and transmission linkage from the throttle body assembly. 4. Remove the EGA pipe from the EGA valve. 5. Label and detach the vacuum lines from the air intake plenum, EGA valve, and fuel pressure regulator. 6. Detach the PCV system by disconnecting the hose from the fitting on the air intake plenum. 7. Remove the plenum ground cable and bolt. 8. Detach the coolant hoses from the throttle body and plug them. 9. Remove the air intake plenum retaining bolts and nuts. 10. Remove the air intake plenum and throttle body as an assembly from the lower intake manifold.

1. If access to the IAC valve screws is difficult, remove the throttle body. 2. Remove the mounting screws and detach the valve and gasket. 3. If replacing the valve, install the Temperature Vacuum Valve (TVV) from the original assembly into the new unit. 4. Installation is the reverse of removal, ensuring to use a new gasket.

Disconnect the electrical connector and check the resistance between each terminal with an ohmmeter. The resistance should be 30-50 ohms when cold and 70-90 ohms when warm.
