Toyota 22210-62230 Throttle Body Assembly

1. Detach the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. 2. Disconnect the electrical connectors at the ISC/IAC valve, TPS, and EGR/EVAP canister control solenoid. 3. Detach the accelerator cable and transmission linkage from the throttle body assembly. 4. Remove the EGA pipe from the EGA valve. 5. Label and detach the vacuum lines from the air intake plenum, EGA valve, and fuel pressure regulator. 6. Detach the PCV system by disconnecting the hose from the fitting on the air intake plenum. 7. Remove the plenum ground cable and bolt. 8. Detach the coolant hoses from the throttle body and plug them. 9. Remove the air intake plenum retaining bolts and nuts. 10. Remove the air intake plenum and throttle body as an assembly from the lower intake manifold.

1. Detach the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. 2. Loosen the hose clamps and remove the air intake duct. 3. Detach the accelerator cable from the throttle lever. 4. Detach the throttle cable bracket and set it aside. 5. If equipped with an automatic transmission, detach the throttle valve (TV) cable from the throttle linkage and set it aside. 6. Label and detach all vacuum and coolant hoses from the throttle body, plugging the coolant hoses to prevent loss. 7. Disconnect the electrical connector from the throttle position sensor (TPS). 8. Remove the throttle body mounting bolts. 9. Detach the throttle body and gasket from the intake manifold. 10. Clean the throttle body casting with a soft brush and aerosol carburetor cleaner, blowing out all passages with compressed air. Do not clean the TPS; just wipe it off with a clean cloth. 11. Installation is the reverse of removal, ensuring to tighten the throttle body mounting bolts to the specified torque.
