To remove the throttle cable, first disconnect the battery's negative terminal. Then loosen the throttle body's locknut and remove the cable end. Detach the Accelerator Cable from the accelerator pedal by removing bolts and sliding out the cable end. Remove bolts securing the cable casing to the firewall and pull out the cable. For installation, reverse these steps, ensuring the grommet is seated properly. For adjustment, depress the pedal fully, check the throttle opening, and adjust if necessary. Finally, tighten the locknuts and verify the throttle closes when the pedal is released.

After removing the accelerator cable from the throttle linkage, you should loosen the accelerator cable locknut and remove the cable from the bracket assembly.

Press the accelerator pedal all the way to the floor. It is important to note that the throttle valve in the throttle body must be completely open. Check and adjust the accelerator cable if necessary.
