Install the bearing caps and bolts on the connecting rod, and tighten them just enough to get a grip and then apply the standard torque sequence. Place the camshaft sprocket teeth on the ticks of the timing chain and ensure all the marks tally, then fasten the bolts on the camshaft sprocket. Replace the timing chain tensioner, and reinstate everything in the order that was dismantled.

Inspect the camshafts and lifters for wear, check the camshaft sprockets for wear on the teeth, and inspect the chains for cracks or excessive wear.
