First of all to start the removal process securely position the front wheels and disconnect the lead of the battery negative terminal for at least 3 minutes. Remember that on models that have vehicle stability and traction control if any steering parts will need to be replaced then the control light on the instrument cluster will blink to signify that it needs to re calibrate the system. If there is no warning light, then it should be normal, but calibration needs specific tools and advanced knowledge, and it is recommended to take the car to the dealership or a quality service station. Understand that while the vehicle has or may have stability/traction control, anti-lock brake system, downhill assist control, these may not work until calibration is done.
