Remove the lower Steering Column Cover by removing the retention screws and pulling off the cover. Next, remove the retention screws from the steering column panel and unlock the hood release latch. Remove the screws securing the latch. For later vehicles, take off the cover plate and unscrew the panel screws on the steering column. Then, remove the bolt or screw from below the left-hand speaker cover. On early model vehicles, remove the bolt and screw from below the speaker cover. If applicable, remove the retention screw located above the speaker on early model vehicles. Finally, disconnect any electrical connections and pull the panel off. To reinstall, follow the reverse of the removal procedure.
