    Q:
How do you remove the Flywheel in four cylinder engine on 2007 through 2015 Toyota Avalon? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start by removing the leaking front pump seal or O-ring, then take off the pressure plate and clutch disc. Check or replace clutch components as needed. Mark the flywheel, drive plate, and crankshaft for reinstallation. Remove the bolts securing the flywheel or drive plate to the crankshaft. Remove the flywheel or drive plate, supporting it while removing the last bolt. Align the marks made during removal, apply thread-locking compound to the bolts, and secure them in a crisscross pattern. Installation is the reverse of the removal.

    Q:
How to remove and install the driveplate on Toyota Rav4? Posted by Customer
    A:
To dismantle the transaxle, you have to first pull the transaxle from the vehicle and repair the front pump seal/O-ring if in disrepair. Mark the alignment on the driveplate and crankshaft with a center punch or paint so that alignment can easily be checked when assembling it. Subsequently, undo the bolts that were fixed at the drive plate to the crankshaft by placing the drive plate and using a screwdriver to lock the crankshaft in the event that rotates. Next, remove the driveplate without loosing the spacers on both sides of the Freud Diablo blade. For installation, look to see that there are no broken or cracked teeth on the ring gear and clean the contacting surfaces of the driveplate and crankshaft. if the crankshaft rear seal is leaking, replace it before reinstalling the driveplate correct. Align the dowel pin on the driveplate with the mark done earlier and place the driveplate on the crankshaft note that there are some engines that have staggered bolt holes. Squirt an anti-seize compound on the bolts before engaging and tightening them; using the screw-driver to ensure that the driveplate does not turn as the bolt is tightened, the tightening sequence should be criss-cross to the final torque which should be reached in three to four steps. The other steps of the installation will involve the reversal of the steps discussed under removal.

    Q:
How should the flywheel or driveplate be positioned during installation for the 2008 Toyota Camry? Posted by Customer
    A:
The flywheel or driveplate should be positioned against the crankshaft, aligning the marks made during removal.
