    Remove the two cold start injector mounting bolts and pull the injector out of the plenum. Do not disconnect the cold start tube banjo fitting at this time.

    The initial steps to remove an injector include: 1. Relieving the fuel pressure. 2. Disconnecting the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. 3. Disconnecting the throttle return spring. 4. Using a screwdriver to pop the throttle link rod loose. 5. Removing the PCV hose. 6. Disconnecting the electrical connectors from the fuel injectors. 7. Disconnecting the electrical connector from the cold start injector vacuum switching valve (VSV). 8. Removing the VSV hose from the pressure regulator. 9. Disconnecting the fuel return line from the pressure regulator. 10. Removing the pulsation damper and disconnecting the fuel inlet hose from the fuel rail. 11. Removing the cold start injector pipe from the fuel rail. 12. Removing the fuel rail by taking out the three mounting bolts and carefully pulling it free from the cylinder head.
