1. Remove the upper intake manifold (see Steps 1 through 7). 2. Remove the fuel rail and injectors. 3. Clearly label and detach all remaining wires, hoses, and brackets attached to the lower intake manifold, coolant outlets, and rear coolant bypass casting. 4. Remove the mounting nuts and bolts, then detach the intake manifold from the cylinder heads, starting with the outer bolts and working towards the inner bolts. Make several passes to ensure even separation. If it's stuck, do not pry between the gasket mating surfaces to avoid damage.

Disconnect the EVAP system fuel vapor feed hose and the ventilation hose. Also, disconnect the throttle body wiring.

1. Remove all traces of old gasket from the intake manifolds and clean the mating surfaces with brake system cleaner. 2. Install new gaskets into the grooves on the manifold. Position the intake manifold on the engine and install the fasteners. 3. Tighten the fasteners in three or four equal steps to the specific torque, working from the center outwards to avoid warping. 4. Install the remaining parts in the reverse order of removal. 5. Refill the cooling system. Run the engine and check for fuel, vacuum, and coolant leaks around the throttle body hoses.
