The windshield wiper motor is located at the right rear corner of front luggage compartment and the electrical connector has to be disconnected in order to check. For low speed connection, connect the positive end to terminal 2 and the negative end to the motor body and ensure that it rotates with low speed. For high speed operation link positive terminal to one and negative terminal to the motor body so that the motor should run with high speed. If the motor fails either test then it should be replaced. Next, to ensure the motor comes to rest at the stopping position, run the motor at a slow speed and stall it by opening terminal-2. Then, join terminal number two to terminal three and connect the positive terminal of the battery to terminal number four to discover that the motor ceases rotation at the position of stop. If it does not pass this test, replacement is needed. To replace the motor, turn the ignition switch to On and set the wiper switch to low, and when the wiper arm is in its parking position or up turn the switch off. Disconnect the connector of the wiper motor from the electrical harness, then you can remove connector of headlight retractor relay from the wiper bracket and then remove the three mounting bolts of the wiper motor. Manually lower the wiper arm down to the maximum stop position with the link unbuckled and place the wiper link onto the dash panel service hole to immobilize the wiper while disconnected. Loosen the motor arm from the wiper link using a screwdriver and join the new wiper motor to the wiper link with the motor crank lying in 180° at the auto-stop position. Simply lift the wiper arm up manually to an 'UP' position, fasten the wiper mounting bolts tightly, re-connect the wiper motor electrical connection and replace the light retractor control relay back.
