Ensure you have the anti-theft code before disconnecting the battery. To fix a non-working blower unit, check the fuse and connections. The blower unit is under the dash or passenger seat. If the blower motor doesn't work, check for battery voltage. If there's no voltage, the issue could be with the ignition feed circuit, blower switch, heater main relay, or motor circuit. If voltage is present but the motor doesn't work, the blower resistor or heater/air conditioning control switch may be faulty. To replace the blower motor, remove the wiring connector bracket, mounting screws, and lower the blower assembly. The fan can be reused on the new motor. For 4Runner models, remove the passenger seat to access the rear blower motor. Installation is the reverse of removal. Check operation after installation.
