    Q:
How to remove and install the oil pan in Four cylinder engine on Toyota T100? Posted by Customer
    A:
To eliminate the elements of the recipe, first, detach the negative terminal on the battery and sake the code for the anti-theft activation in case it exists. Pull the parking brake and chock the rear wheels, now raise the front end of the car and secure it to the jackstand. If it is there, then remove the engine protector plate situated below the engine, drain the engine oil in the car, and remove the Oil filter and Oil dip stick. Moving next, the front stabilizer bar, the exhaust manifold nuts (two) connecting the front exhaust, the bolts / nuts fastening the pipe at the rear exhaust and finally you can now pull out the exhaust. Disassemble the front crossmember by extracting the bolts that holds it to the frame and disconnecting it the NC compressor and bracket, the alternator and bracket assembly, and removing the crankshaft position sensor from the timing cover. Subsequently, the stiffener plates on the right and left partition need to be unbolted and the transmission brace needs to be separated from the engine block. Remove the bolts holding the oil pan and to free and lift the oil pan gently without scrapping the engines block. Tilt the oil pan downward and to the outside away from the front stabilizer bar, then loosen the bolts holding the pick-up tube / oil strainer for maintenance. Regarding installation, the existing gasket material should be scraped off and the mating surfaces cleaned; in case of the block, the threaded bolt holes should be clean. Examine the oil pan flange if it has been bent in any way and if it is, then, bend it flat again. Check the oil pump pick-up tube for any signs of crack or clog, replace the oil pick up tube gasket and put appreciable quantity of RTV sealant on the flange of oil pan. Place the oil pan over the block and screw in the bolts and throughout the process of tightening make them go from center out to the torque recommended. Perform the installation in the reverse sequence of disassembly and replace the oil sump and the oil filter with new oil; front exhaust pipe gasket seal also must be new. Last of all, start the car to look for oil pressure and presence of oil stains in the motor.
