    Q:
How to remove and install a radiator on 2005 through 2009 Toyota Tacoma? Posted by Customer
    A:
To remove and install a radiator in a vehicle, first disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery and drain the engine coolant. Remove the radiator support shield, cooling fan, and fan shroud. Detach the coolant reservoir hose and upper and lower radiator hoses, and on automatic transmission models, also detach the fluid cooler hoses from the radiator. Remove the radiator mounting bolts and lift out the radiator, being careful of dripping fluids and sharp fins. Inspect the radiator for leaks, damage, and internal blockage, and clean it with compressed air and a soft brush. To install, reverse the removal procedure, tighten the radiator mounting bolts to the proper torque specifications. Fill the cooling system, start the engine, and check for leaks, allowing the engine to reach normal operating temperature before rechecking the coolant level and adding more if required. Check and add transmission fluid as needed.
