    Inspect the axleshaft seal for wear. If replacement is necessary, the oil seal can be removed using a slide hammer with an internal puller jaw attachment, or it can be carefully pried out with a seal removal tool (Use a hooked shaped tool to pry out the oil seal). Note: Always lubricate the inner lip of the new oil seal with a small amount of multi-purpose grease before reinstalling the axleshaft.

    Install a new oil seal if necessary and lubricate the splines on the inner end of the axleshaft with grease.
