The coolant temperature sensor is a thermistor whose resistance rises when temperature drops or falls when temperature rises; a failure noticed by Code 22 often results from a faulty connection or a new thermistor is needed. There should be infinite resistance between terminals 1 and 2, and 3 and 4, and about 30 to 60 ohms between terminals 5 and 6. If these values are not as indicated, replace the main relay.
