To detach the radio, first disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery, ensuring that the anti-theft audio system's lockout feature is turned off if applicable. Next, remove the center cluster finish bezel and the radio retaining bolts to pull out the radio, disconnecting the antenna lead and electrical connector in the process. After removing the radio from the instrument panel, installation follows the reverse order of removal. For speakers, each door contains at least one speaker, with T100 and 4Runner models featuring a tweeter in each door trim panel, and some extra cab T100 models equipped with rear speakers. To access a door-mounted speaker, remove the door trim panel, then take out the speaker retaining screws and unplug the electrical connector. For a rear speaker on a T100 model, remove the speaker enclosure, unplug the electrical connector, and take out the speaker retaining screws. Installation for speakers also follows the reverse order of removal.
