Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal. After replacing a radio system containing a satellite receiver, the radio's ID needs to be registered with the appropriate satellite provider to receive "pay-type" broadcast stations. Access the radio by removing the dash center trim surrounding it by gently prying the trim free with a flat trim tool, working around the outside edges near the corners to release the clips. Remove the four bolts retaining the radio, then pull outwards to gain access to the electrical connections. Disconnect the electrical connectors and the antenna lead, reusing the radio brackets as the navigation/radio assembly utilizes five fasteners on each side. Installation is the reverse of removal. For door speakers, remove the door trim panel; all models have speakers in both front and rear doors, with rear door speakers mounted similarly to the front. Drill out the rivets, then disconnect the electrical connector to remove the speaker from the vehicle, with installation being the reverse of removal. Some models are equipped with tweeters mounted in the upper corners of the dash; pry the speaker cover off with a flat trim tool, remove the mounting fasteners, pull the tweeter out, and disconnect the electrical connector, with installation being the reverse of removal. For the rear woofer assembly, remove the carpet and left-hand storage bin, then remove the rear hatch weatherstrip trim and the left-hand quarter panel trim. Remove the four bolts securing the woofer to the left-hand quarter panel area, disconnect the electrical connector, and remove the woofer assembly, with installation being the reverse of removal.
