Install the strut assembly following the procedure outlined in Section 2 (front), or the rear shock absorber/coil spring.

1. Remove the rear floorboard and the rear floor storage box. 2. Remove the rear sill plate. 3. Remove the tonneau cover holder caps. 4. Remove the armrest side panels. 5. Remove the luggage tie-down assemblies. 6. Remove the luggage compartment side panels. 7. Loosen the rear wheel lug nuts. Raise the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands. Remove the rear wheels. 8. On vehicles with rear ride height control, detach the ride height sensor. 9. Put a floor jack with a block of wood under the lower coil spring mount and compress the coil spring about one inch. 10. Remove the lock nut, the rubber washer, and the support washer from the top of the shock absorber. 11. Remove the bolt (not the nut) from the bottom of the shock absorber, then pull it down and out of the vehicle.
