To remove the radiator, start by disconnecting the negative battery cable and draining the coolant into a container. Remove the upper and lower radiator hoses, as well as the reservoir hose from the radiator filler neck. If there is a Cooling Fan Assembly, remove it. For vehicles with an automatic transaxle, disconnect the cooler lines from the radiator, placing a drip pan beneath to catch any fluid. Remove the bolts that attach the radiator to its support and carefully lift out the radiator, being cautious of any dripping fluids and sharp fins. Inspect the radiator for leaks, damage, and blockage. Clean off bugs and dirt using compressed air and a soft brush. For installation, reverse the removal procedure and ensure the rubber mounts are in place. Fill the cooling system with the appropriate mixture of antifreeze and water. Check for leaks, allow the engine to reach normal operating temperature, and recheck the coolant level. For coolant reservoir removal, typically remove one bolt and pull the reservoir up and out of the bracket on the fender well. Inspect for damage and replace if necessary. Installation is the reverse of the removal process.
