How to overhaul and install a wheel cylinder on Toyota Celica?

If you suspect that your power steering system is in need of a major overhaul, typically because of the leakage or a slobby functionality, it is high time to consider all the possibilities before starting the work. To start with, when retrofitting the following components should be dismantled from the wheel cylinder body; bleeder screw, cups, pistons, boots, and spring assembly. Scrub the wheel cylinder with brake fluid, denatured alcohol, or any cleaner that is appropriate for brake system but not petroleum. After that, the wheel cylinder should be dried with compressed air and the passages should be blown out. Inspect the bore for rust and scratches; light rust can be rubbed with crocus paper, and if, notwithstanding, other defects cannot be scraped out or if the bore is scratched, a new cylinder is needed. Clean the new cups with brake fluid and fit all other brake cylinder assembled parts, with the cup lips facing the interior of the brake cylinder. To fix, secure the wheel cylinder in place, screw the bolts and only tight them up to the point where you can just unscrew them using your fingers; thread the brake line keenly in a fashion that does not harm the threads. thread in the wheel cylinder bolts up to the estimated torque and ensure that the brake line is fixed properly before refitting the brake shoe.
