When cleaning the throttle position sensor (TP), idle air control (IAC) valve, or throttle control motor, do not use solvent. Remove the engine cover, throttle body cover, and clamp off coolant hoses. Remove Air Filter Box, windshield wiper motor linkage, and cowl panel for 1GR-FE engines. Disconnect electrical connectors from the throttle body. Clamp off coolant hoses and remove air intake duct for 1GR-FE (2011 and later), 1UR-FE, 3UR-FE, and 3UR-FBE engines. Loosen hose clamps and disconnect water bypass hoses. Remove throttle body mounting bolts and throttle body. Install new throttle body gasket and check coolant level.
