Toyota Solara Mirror Switch

The Toyota Solara Mirror Switch is a complicated gadget that must be incorporated into wall mounted automobiles so that drivers can achieve the prime angle of the side-view mirror conveniently. This switch, that has to be installed on the door to be reached with no difficulties by the driver, allows controlling the position of the mirror. At the beginning, the side mirrors were controlled by a handle, however, the recent civilization enables the driver to adjust the mirrors using Power Mirror Switch while seated. Furthermore, some of the models of Solara may be equipped with power folding mirrors; the button for this function might be located together with the one that controls the mirror's position. In addition, luxury Solara vehicles can even be fitted with electrochromatic mirrors that change their tinting based on the illumination and glare indicators for improving the comfort of the driver and the passenger.

Toyota Solara Mirror Switch Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How do you replace hazard warning switch, power mirror control switch, defogger control switch, and instrument panel light control switch on Toyota Solara?
A: To replace the hazard warning switch disconnect the negative battery cable. Then, remove the center cluster finish panel from the instrument panel and the electrical connector at the rear of the switch. The location of the hazard switch may vary depending on the model. Next, remove the switch from the bezel. The hazard switch is important to the heating/air conditioning controls and must be replaced as a unit for Camry models. To replace the Mirror Switch, locate the switch in a small panel to the left of the steering column or the driver's door panel and then, pry the panel from the dash or the switch from the door panel, then remove the electrical connector and the switch. For the replacement of the defogger control switch, remove the heating and air conditioning control panel and disconnect the electrical connector, depress the tab, and remove the switch from the bezel. For the instrument panel light control switch, remove the instrument cluster or the small removable panel to the left of the steering column, depending on the model. Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the switch by squeezing the clips. Installation for all switches is the reverse of the removal procedure.
