How do you replace the back-up light switch on Toyota Tacoma?

Lift the vehicle as high as it will go on jackstands and support the car safely, then disconnect the back-up light switch's electrical connection. Take out the cover of the back-up light switch and detach the switch that is fitted on the transmission casing along with the gasket for the same. Place the switch and the gasket into the case of the transmission and tighten them properly; connect the electrical socket. Lastly set the car down and test the back-up lights.
