How to remove and refit the steering column on Toyota Yaris?

To take out the steering column, you have to disarm the circuit by either turning off the car or disconnecting the battery negative terminal and wait for 2 minutes. Subsequently, extract the steering-wheel mounted airbag from and shifting the driver's seat to as far back as possible for enhanced visibility. Pop out three screws at the front, two from the lower front part of the shroud, and the last one from under it and send the shroud down. Temporarily align the universal joint and the steering gear pinion; flatten the bolts, and remove them to remove the steering column. Remove the screws that connect the two wiring connectors to the ignition switch and identify where they go that way and out the column mounting bolt and two bolts above it. Last but not least, it is necessary to free the column from the upper support and, having so done, slowly pull it out of the car. For offloading, reverse the following components; First fix edges need to be tightened to the recommended torque; Driver side air bag; Clock spring.
