Remove the strut rod-to-body bracket bolt and detach the rod from the vehicle. Note that the parking brake cable bracket may need to be removed to allow removal of the strut bolt.

1. Remove the rear stabilizer bar. 2. Mark the cam bolt on both sides to preserve the toe-in alignment angle. 3. For 2013 and earlier Highlander and 2009 and earlier Lexus models, remove the arm fasteners from the axle carrier and suspension cross member, then remove the arm. For 2014 and later Highlander and 2010 and later RX350 models, remove the coil spring, then remove the fasteners from the suspension cross member and remove the arm. 4. On Lexus vehicles with electronically modulated air suspension, detach the height sensor linkage from the arm before removing the mounting fasteners.
