For transaxle mount replacement, you can follow a similar procedure to engine mount replacement. The key steps involve supporting the transaxle and removing and installing the transaxle mount using appropriate fasteners and thread locking compound. Ensure that the transaxle mount is securely attached to prevent driveline issues.

To remove the engine movement control rod assembly in V6 models, you need to take out the two through-bolts and the engine movement control rod.

Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery, then raise the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands (if not already done). Support the engine.

To check the engine mounts, you should raise the vehicle and securely support it on jackstands. Position a jack under the engine oil pan and place a large block of wood between the jack head and the oil pan. Raise the engine slightly to remove the weight from the mounts. Do not position the wood block under the drain plug. Then, visually inspect the mounts for signs of damage and use a large screwdriver or pry bar to check for any movement. If movement is observed, lower the engine and tighten the mount fasteners. Applying rubber preservative to the mounts can help slow down deterioration.

Check for relative movement between the mount plates and the engine or frame by using a large screwdriver or pry bar to attempt to move the mounts. If movement is noted, lower the engine and tighten the mount fasteners.

V6 models have a shock absorbing mount, which is mounted between the engine and chassis. It is located to the left of the conventional front engine mount.
