To remove the A/C Condenser, begin by having the refrigerant discharged by a professional. Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal and remove the battery hold-down clamp. Proceed to remove the front bumper cover and the headlight housings. Drain the cooling system and remove the hood latch, as well as detach the hood release cable from the radiator support clips. Disengage the radiator air deflector clips and remove the air deflector from the top of the radiator. Disconnect the electrical connectors to the horns and remove the front bumper upper support reinforcement bolts, along with the horns as an assembly. Disconnect the inlet and outlet line bolts to the condenser, and cap the open fittings immediately to prevent moisture and dirt from entering the system. Detach the water bypass pipe from the fan shroud and remove the fan shroud support mounting bolts, separating the support from the top of the fan shroud. Carefully lift the air conditioning condenser, ensuring not to damage the cooling fins on the condenser or the radiator. For installation, start by installing the condenser to the fan shroud, ensuring the rubber cushions fit properly on the mounting points. Reconnect the refrigerant lines using new O-rings where necessary. If a new condenser is being installed, add 1.35 ounces of refrigerant oil to it before installation. Proceed to reinstall the remaining parts in the reverse order of removal. Finally, have the system evacuated, charged, and leak tested by a professional.
