    A:
To take out the components, first unscrew the terminal starts with the negative terminal of the battery and you should make sure to have the anti-theft activation code if any. Lock the rear wheels and set the parking brake next, then lift the front of the car and place it on jack stands. You have to liberate the air conditioning compressor from its posts without severing the refrigerant hoses and place it out of the way and then, take out the air conditioning compressor mounting brace. After that, remove the bolts of the alternator, alternator bracket assembly, belt idler pulley, and adjustment bracket to the engine. Depending on disassembly, remove the cruise control actuator if it has one by unscrewing it and putting it aside then, remove the lower radiator hose and take out the water pump. Place the number one piston on the top-dead-center on the compression stroke; now, remove the cylinder head and the oil pan. Loosen the crankshaft pulley bolt with the help of a special crankshaft pulley holding tool or a bolt along with a prybar and take out the timing chain cover bolts and remove the timing chain cover gently. Take off the camshaft sprocket as well as the timing chain and examine the sprocket teeth, key ways, chain as well as guides, and replace in cas in that the individual parts are worn out or damaged. Visually inspect the timing chain tensioner for operation, the plunger of the tensioner should move freely up and down and lock into place. Check for restriction in the oil jet. Cleaning of the timing chain area and cover, O-rings should be replaced and it should also be checked that the oil jet is towards the timing gear. Position the timing chain over the camshaft sprocket and ensure that the timing marks are properly aligned and or bolt the chain guides. Install RTV sealant on to the surface that is to be sealed on the timing cover, then fit the cover where after torqueing the timing cover bolts. Bolt in the remaining parts in reverse sequence while making sure that the timing chain is properly engaged to prevent the engine from suffering. Last, engage the engine and ensure that there is no deteriorating since the last operation of the engine, including checking the battery, lights, climate control, radio/CD player, power windows/locks, seats, steering and all other options whether it be automatic or manual transmission.
