    1. Remove the engine. 2. Remove the oil pan, oil pick-up tube, and strainer. 3. Remove the timing belt and number 1 and number 2 idler pulleys. 4. Remove the crankshaft timing sprocket and the crankshaft position sensor. 5. Remove the oil filter/cooler assembly. 6. Remove the eight mounting bolts and detach the oil pump from the front of the engine. If stuck, pry it off carefully. 7. Remove the O-ring from the engine block, then remove the plug from the bottom of the oil pump.
