Drain the tank strap bolts-or for early models take out the tank strap bolts from the body as well as bolts from the fuel tank retaining straps. Lower the tank enough to pull off the electrical connector from the fuel pump, and the fuel gauge sending unit. Remove the fuel lines, the vapor return line, and the fuel inlet pipe from the fuel tank fillings, ensure you used plugs to block the hoses against dripping. Last but not the least, pull out the tank from the car, and as for the installation process, it is the reversal of the above steps.
