Toyota Echo Exhaust Manifold

The Exhaust Manifold in Toyota Echo vehicles has the function of channeling hot gases from the engine to the exhaust system, then through the catalytic converter and muffler. Sitting rather flexibly above, to the side, in front or behind the en block, the manifold consists of long, spiraled tubes of the number equal to the engine cylinders. The Echo's exhaust manifold is usually made of cast iron or stainless steel; the car may contain headers that are built to improve the engine's performance by minimizing flow restriction and boosting exhaust gas speed. This design variation can enhance the performance a great deal owing to improved exhaust scavenging as well as balanced pressure. Maintenance should be done regularly if the exhaust manifold starts to fail it can lead to low performance and health problem due to dangerous gases leak.
