Remove the wiper motor and link assembly. On 2010 and later models, remove the cowl brace and the cowl top panel.

Following the tool manufacturer's instructions, install the spring compressor on the spring and compress it sufficiently to relieve all pressure from the upper spring seat (front) or spring bracket (rear). This can be verified by wiggling the spring.

1. Maneuver the assembly up into the fenderwell, install the lower mount onto the stud, and guide the upper mounting studs into the holes in the body. Install the bolt from below, tightening it. 2. Install the lower washer and nut. Raise the axle beam with the floor jack to simulate normal ride height, then tighten the nut. 3. Install the upper mounting nuts and tighten them. 4. The remainder of installation is the reverse of removal. 5. Install the wheel and lug nuts. Lower the vehicle and tighten the lug nuts.
